Professional Interests, Experience, and Expertise.
I am an Associate Professor in Human Development and Family Studies and Director of the Stress, Trajectories, and Romantic Relationships (STARR) Lab. My research investigates how cognitive and behavioral components of romantic relationships develop in context, with a focus on how poverty-related stressors influence change and stability in relational processes and the implications of these changes on relational health and well-being. I leverage this research to inform interventions and policies that support families.
