Relevate is on a mission to provide the public with access to relationship science that reflects their diverse lived experiences and supports them in making healthy and informed decisions about their lives.

Our Goal

Make Relationship Science Accessible to the Public

How We Began

Although social scientists have been researching what makes relationships thrive for decades, there is a huge gap between what researchers know about healthy relationships and what is accessible to the general public.

In 2013, we set out on a quest to gather all the evidence-based relationship information on the internet into one place, but soon discovered there wasn’t much to find. Since then, our purpose has shifted toward reducing the barriers that separate the work of relationship scholars from the people who would benefit most from their research:

Everyone.

Who We Are

Relevate is an interdisciplinary team of relationship scientists, educators, and practitioners in partnership with computer engineers, marketing specialists, and young adults who are passionate about improving the health of individuals and relationships everywhere.

We are committed to enhancing public well-being by providing accessible, research-based information on interpersonal relationships. We recognize the diverse lived experiences within our society and strive to bridge the gap between relationship science and everyday life in order to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their own lives and relationships.

Relevate Distinguished Scholars

Relevate recognizes the important work of scholars who are using their knowledge and experience to positively influence public issues and discourse through public scholarship and engagement in their expertise area.
