Bio
I am an Associate Professor of Couple and Family Therapy at Kansas State University and am interested in increasing all young people's chances for establishing healthy romantic and familial relationships as adults through intervening during adolescence and young adulthood. This includes innovative approaches to interventions for reducing disparities in mental and relationship health outcomes, working with larger social systems that support children and adolescents (e.g., school-based systemic interventions), and research on risk and resiliency factors influencing romantic relationship development and relationship stability (e.g., trauma, oppression, family experiences, violence, culture, social support, belonging, access to resources, self-esteem, identity development, sexuality).
